What if you worked hard your whole life (to now) and reached the top of your ladder, and then began to realize the ladder you climbed was harmful to the world and to many of the people you care about? Your ladder might be a job, a club, a relationship, a political or religious affiliation . . . and maybe when you started climbing, it was not what it has become, or at least you didn't know it to be so.
Have you invested too much to climb back down? Will you continue playing the top of the game and justify it to yourself? Will you have the courage and integrity to climb down and begin at the bottom of a new ladder? Will those you're hurting respect you? Will you respect yourself?
Ponder. Choose. Live intentionally. Repeat regularly throughout your lifetime.
